Smithkey-
If there is one thing I love in life it is a good cheeseburger. A simple meal to prepare but one that should not be taken for granted. When I was first told about the Burger Monger my friend compared it to Five Guys but said that it was even better so I decided I had to try it for myself. When I first entered the building I was greeted by a very kind staff and instantly noticed there were various televisions on the walls showing all kinds of sports. I am a huge sports fan and knew that even if I did not enjoy my food, at least I could watch the Lightning game as well as the Thursday night NFL game being shown.

So when I approached the counter to order my food I noticed they basically had every type of condiment and topping imaginable for your burger, hotdog, or chicken. I decided to keep it simple and ordered a double cheeseburger with mustard and their Chai Chipotle ketchup that was recommended to me as well as a side of fries and a strawberry shake. My bill ended up coming to around $15 which I thought was pretty expensive for a burger joint so I was a little disappointed in that.

The food was brought out to the table in a very timely matter (under 5 minutes) and smelled absolutely amazing. I decided to try a couple fries for starters and although they were good, nothing really blew me away about them. Next I moved on to my hand dipped strawberry milkshake which I found to be very good and one of the best in town. Now it was time for the main event, two 6 oz Akaushi Kobe beef patties topped with cheese, mustard, and Chai Chipotle ketchup ( I am getting hungry just writing this ). My first bite could have quite possibly been the best thing to have ever hit my taste buds. The juicy patties were cooked to perfection and had a taste so pure that I had never experienced anything like it before ( first time I had tasted Akaushi Kobe beef). I also lost my virginity to Chai Chipotle ketchup that night and know that I will always remember my first. The ketchup had a very slight but also very noticeable spicy little kick to it that you could taste at the end of each bite.

Overall I was very pleased with my first visit to Burger Monger. The burger was hands down the best burger I have ever tasted in a restaurant, the fries were good, and the milkshake was really good. Other then the food I was very pleased with the kind staff and even had a short conversation with friendly owner. I loved the selection of sports inside the restaurant although I was a bit confused with the odd music selection or random songs of various genres. I can not afford to eat here every day but you can bet that I will definitely be visiting this place as much as possible.
